Leadership Giving
|
|
When you join the United Way Avian Society, you make an investment that produces soaring results. The United Way's Avian Society recognizes four different levels of giving between $1,000 and $9,999 and a fifth level at $10,000 and above. Each level can be achieved individually or through a combination of gifts with a spouse.
Leadership Givers are generous and caring people. When they make an investment in United Way, they are investing in long term improvements in the education, financial stability and health of people living in their community. They believe that their continued deep commitment to helping resolve our community’s problems will result in a brighter future for all Calvert County residents.
Leadership gifts have provided United Way with the ability to expand our reach- funding new programs or initiatives to address a pressing issue. Leadership gifts make an impact on the community.
Members of the Avian Society receive:
Invitations to special events
A quarterly leadership giving e-newsletter
Recognition at annual events
An opportunity to act as a steward of the community

The Alexis de Toqueville Society
“When an American asks for the cooperation of his fellow citizens, it is seldom refused; and I have often seen it afforded spontaneously and with great good will.”
Alexis de Toqueville
United Way of Calvert County honors individuals that commit $10,000 or more in an annual contribution with membership to a society that bares the name of French Aristocrat, Alexis de Toqueville, a great admirer of America’s giving spirit. The Alexis de Tocqueville Society was designed to involve and deepen the understanding, commitment, and support of leadership level donors to the United Way. The gift must come from an individual’s (couple’s) personal resources or through a family foundation.

The United Way of Calvert County Foundation
Another option for leadership giving is to consider a gift of land, life insurance, cash, stock or bequest from a will. Each donation will be carefully invested. The interest earned is invested back into our community in the form of grants to programs or areas of need.
Planned Giving
Through a bequest you can provide for the future of the United Way of Calvert County. Please consider putting the United Way of Calvert County endowment fund in your will.
