New Strategic Direction
United Way of Calvert County is launching a new strategic direction to make lasting changes in our community. This past year, the United Way brought community leaders together to identify Calvert County's most pressing issues, and their underlying causes. With the guidance and input of local leaders in business, government and non-profits, United Way identified some key areas where the entire community could work together to make an impact: School Readiness, Youth Engagement, Financial Stability, and Healthy Lifestyles. “In order for negative trends to be reversed, we will focus our efforts and strategies on bringing people, agencies, businesses and resources together. It’s imperative to have the whole community together on this,” says United Way of Calvert County CEO & President Kelly Chambers. Leaders and citizens are invited to get involved by joining a Community Impact Council.
