2018 Basic Needs Grant Recipients Announced

We all need to know that help is available to meet basic needs in times of personal crisis or disaster.  United Way of Calvert County (UWCC) helps to provide that peace of mind by funding programs that provide food, clothing, shelter, and disaster relief.  UWCC awards Basic Needs Grants on an annual basis to local nonprofit organizations providing emergency shelter, food assistance, and help with rent/utilities to people in Calvert County.

We are pleased to announce the recipients of the UWCC 2018 Basic Needs Grants:

Birthright of Prince Frederick
Emergency Infant Formula Program

Calvert Churches Community Food Pantry

These eight nonprofit organizations will receive grants ranging from $1,000 to $3,000 to provide basic needs support services throughout 2018 to Calvert County residents in need.
