United Way of Calvert County IS IN NEED!
As a community-based organization focused on health, education and financial stability, the United Way of Calvert County is helping prevent and limit the spread of COVID-19 to our area. We are doing so by adapting to the CDC guidelines and offering support to the community in the following ways:
Because of supporters like you, we are able to implement emergency programs and plans of action, which are especially critical for our community during national pandemics, like the COVID-19 outbreak. United Way of Calvert County is partnering with End Hunger in Calvert County, the Calvert County Gov't and other agencies to ensure families and children are fed during this global pandemic. In doing so, we have been able to recruit and coordinate volunteers and volunteer shifts and solicit food items and donations to support hungry families and those homebound. United Way of Calvert County is the operations center for volunteer recruitment. If interested in volunteering, please contact us directly.
We at the United Way of Calvert County, ask that during this time of uncertainty, everyone proceed with caution. Stay up to date with the current CDC guidelines. Protect your health and the health of those around you, especially individuals at a higher risk than most. Please continue to avoid social gatherings of any kind. Keep your spirits up. If you are in need of support, please contact us at (410) 535-2000 or email email@example.com.
United Way of Calvert County Needs Your Help!
In accordance with these preventative measures, the United Way of Calvert County will be postponing our 40th anniversary events scheduled for April 23rd and April 25th. We recognize the impact that the spread of COVID-19 can have on our community and see this as an appropriate course of action.
Our Goal: While we are taking these preventative measures, we still hope to celebrate the past 40 years of engagement our supporters have had in our community- at a later date. Until we are able to do so, funding the United Way of Calvert County is more critical than ever to support the programs that serve those most in need in our community. We need your help.
